VHHA Launches MyFirstDay.org

The Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association has launched a new Web site designed for students, career changers and career counselors, http://www.myfirstday.org. The Web site provides short testimonials from health professionals about their first day on the job as well as key facts on health care careers, such as amount of patient interaction and physical activity, minimum education and average salary.

Sections within the site detail school locations, scholarship and tuition reimbursement availability, and suggested activities to plan a career in health care. Future postings will include job shadowing and camp opportunities for youth interested in health careers.
