Adjunct Faculty

Cheryl Pallant received her B.A. and M.A. from Long Island University where she received training as a writer and dancer. She studied with Carmen Beauchat, Kei Takei, Risa, Jarslow, Cara Gargano, Simone Forti, Steve Paxton, and Nancy Stark Smith. She writes poetry, dance criticism, has performed numerous solo and group work, and continues to explore the intersection of movement and text for the page and for performance. She has been practicing and teaching Contact Improvisation for over 20 years in the U.S. and abroad. Her newest book, Currents of Contact: an Experiential Guide to Contact Improvisation, is due out in Fall 2006.
