Richmond supports a vibrant art community attentive to new ideas and work. The Richmond Ballet, Starr Foster Dance Project, Ground Zero Dance Company, Latin Ballet of Virginia, the Richmond branch of "The Field" and several dance schools collaborate with and support VCU Dance and our students. Washington, D.C. is a mere 75 miles north of Richmond and presents many artists throughout the year.

The Virginia Museum, Urban Lights Work and art galleries present visual and performing arts on an ongoing basis to the community. The Modlin Center for the Arts and The Landmark Theater present national and international artists throughout the academic year.

Ground Zero Dance Company maintains a page of community dance news and events here.
