New Students:
New students applying for first time admission should consult the VCUarts web page for admission information and procedures. Generally a certified high school diploma or equivalent and combined score of 900 on the SAT are required for acceptance directly into the B.A. programs in art history.
Transfer Students:
Students applying to the program with previous coursework from other non-VCU institutions should consult the same VCUarts web page for application information as new students (see above). In addition, transfer students should consult with a department advisor regarding the acceptance of non-VCU coursework for credit applied to the department B.A. programs. Students must submit 2 copies of ORIGINAL, certified transcripts of ALL previous non-VCU coursework to the department for admission consideration.
Change of Major:
Current and former VCU students wishing to change a major to Art History must submit a completed Change of Major/Minor Request Form to the department office. VCU students not currently in the School of the Arts should consult the VCUarts web page for admission information and procedures.
