VCU Summer Masterworks Chorale

The VCU Music Department announces the first annual Summer Masterworks Chorale, established as both a community outreach and summer ensemble experience for current VCU graduate and undergraduate students. We invite singers from the extended Richmond area to join this ensemble: directors and singers from community choirs, high school music programs, church choirs, and college choirs.
Community members may participate for a small fee ($40), and students may receive university credit (APPM 390/670, sect 901).
This year’s Summer Masterworks Chorale directed by Rebecca Tyree will rehearse and perform the lovely Dvorak Mass in D, for Mixed Choir, Soloists, and Organ. The performance will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church (3000 Grove Avenue) on Thursday, July 10 at 8:00 pm.
