Call for Entries: Juried Student Fine Arts Exhibition
Exhibition Dates: April 11th – April 20, 2008
Opening Reception: Friday, April 11th from 5 - 7pm
Eligibility: All undergraduate students who are taking fine art studio courses in the School of the Arts are eligible. Eligible students may submit up to 3 works for consideration.
Juror: Beverly Semmes, is an internationally acclaimed artist with a BA in Art History and a BFA in Sculpture from Boston Museum School, Tufts University, and an MFA from Yale School of Art.
When to Enter: Tuesday, April 1st from 10-4 P.M.
NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Information: Presentation is important to the Juror, works on paper should be framed & under glass or Plexiglas. All work must be ready to install. Paint must be dry.
The Anderson Gallery will take precautions to protect the entries, it cannot assume responsibility for damage or theft.
Registration: Sculpture, Crafts, and Video entries will be registered on the 1st Floor of the Fine Arts Building, 1000 West Broad Street.
ALL 2-D work (large and small) will be registered at the Anderson Gallery, 9071⁄2 West Franklin Street.
Once registered, entries should be dropped of for judging at the following locations:

A list of ACCEPTED WORKS will be posted at the above locations by 11 AM on Thursday, April 3rd.
ACCEPTED WORK must be delivered to the Anderson Gallery by the student on Thursday, April 3rd between 1-5 PM.
NON-ACCEPTED WORK must be picked up at the entry location on Thursday, April 3rd after 1PM.
AWARDS: One $500 Dean’s Award and Four Awards of Distinction ($150 each)
JUROR LECTURE: Beverly Semmes will present a lecture on Thursday at 11AM at vcuarts Anderson Gallery.
