Artificial Light: New Light-Based Sculpture and Installation Art was published by Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (VCUarts) Anderson Gallery in partnership with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) and the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami (MOCA at Goldman Warehouse).
John Ravenal, exhibition curator, discusses artists’s work in depth, including their new work for Artificial Light. In addition, the book contains commissioned essays from Paula Feldman, a London-based arts editor and writer, and Kathleen Forde, curator at the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. The book includes color reproductions of each artist’s work in Artificial Light and is 112 pages in length.
Artificial Light: New Light-Based Sculpture and Installation Art will be released in December 2006 in conjunction with the exhibition’s presentation at MOCA
