John Beech
John Beech received his BA from the University of California, Berkeley, in
1986. Beech's work had been shown in several exhibitions, including a
recent solo show at the Petra Bungert Projects, Brussells, Belgium, and
will be seen in an upcoming exhibition in November at the Stark Gallery,
New York City.
His work is in various private and public collections, including the Laguna
Art Museum, California, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. In
1999 Beech received the Pollack-Krasner Award.
For From Idea to Matter, Beech will exhibit several new and
recent sculptural works utilizing such materials as plywood,
metal pipes, rubber and primer.
