From Idea to Matter: Nine Sculptors

Paul Whiting received his BFA from the Cooper Union in New York in 1986 and received his MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1997. Whiting has shown in exhibitions in Houston and New York. He has been a participant in the Core Artist in Residency Program from 1997 to 1999 and was included in the Core exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Whiting was the recipient of the Eliza Prize, Core Program, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, in 1998 and the Rhodes Award from the School of Visual Arts in 1997.
