Fall 2008 dates

Woodwind auditions will take place on Thursday August 21
Brass auditions will take place on Friday, August, 22
(NOTE: These are the first two days of class)

Please sign up for a time on the Winds and Percussion Bulletin Board in the Department of Music hallway leading to the downstairs area.

Auditions will begin mid-day and conclude at approximately 5:00 PM both days in the Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall. Warm up in room B-40. Those students wishing to audition for both SWE and VCUSO may do so with one audition. We will attempt to group auditions by instrument to the extent that it is practical to minimize the overall time commitment for applied faculty. Make every attempt to sign up during the time slots set aside for your instrument.

Each audition is five minutes in length. Students are requested to perform excerpts which will be posted here prior to each semester’s auditions.

Students may sign up for an audition time by placing their name on a time schedule which is posted on the Winds Bulletin Board in the Singleton Center for The Performing Arts.
