Percussion
The percussion performance track at VCU Music allows for students
to specialize on specific percussion instruments while still realizing
diversification as a part of the educational philosophy.
Graduates of the percussion area have gone on to international
solo careers as well as becoming ensemble members in symphony orchestras,
military bands, pop/rock bands and world music groups. Others have
become educators from the elementary to university level.
Our former students are represented by Pearl, Adams, Yamaha, Drum
Workshop, American Drum, Sabian and Innovative Percussion, among
others.
