2008 VCU Summer String Camp Camp Schedule & Sample daily schedule for Residents Camp Schedule – July 6 - 12, 2008 SUN 7/6
MON - THU: at MLWGS (see sample daily schedule below) FRI 7/11: at MLWGS
SAT 7/12: at the VCU Singleton Center for the Performing Arts (922 Park Avenue)
Please invite family and friends to our Friday and Saturday concerts. It will be a great opportunity to hear your student perform as well as to support these developing musicians!
Sample Daily Schedule: 8:30 – 8:55 a.m. Arrival 9 - 9:15 a.m. Morning Session 9:20 - 10:45 a.m. Rehearsal (Strad) stage/private lessons Sectionals (Amati) rehearsal rooms/private lessons 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Clinicians or Group activities (guest speakers,, master class, etc.) 12 - 12:45 p.m. Lunch (Cafeteria only), possible recreation time 1 - 2:30 p.m. Rehearsal (Amati) stage (private lessons) Sectionals (Strad) rehearsal rooms (private lessons) 2:45 - 3:45 p.m. Chamber music or Practice time 3:45 - 4 p.m. Cleanup/ Return to sectional room for sign out. 4:30 - 6 p.m. Private practice/Recreation/Library 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. Dinner 7 – 10 p.m. Evening Activities † 11 p.m. Room Check/Lights Out *This schedule is for illustrative purposes only. The university reserves the right to change content, schedules, or to make other changes deemed necessary or desirable. † Evening activities will include a bluegrass concert with the Whitetop Mountain Band, performance of “Guys and Dolls” musical, viewing the movie “Music from the Inside Out” as well as practice opportunities, socials, movies and more.
