Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The Virginia Commonwealth University Scholarship Program recognizes first-time students who have demonstrated superior personal and academic achievement. A limited number of in-state transfer students who present superior academic records may also be considered for these scholarships. Financial need is not a criterion for the awards. They are renewable for as many as three consecutive years, provided the appropriate cumulative grade point average is maintained.

Continuing Students Scholarship

Open to all majors, these awards range from $250 to $5,000. Once students have declared a major, they may be eligible for scholarships within the department. These scholarships are endowed and students must meet applicant criterion.

Financial Aid

Grants are awards based on financial need and do not require employment. Loans are awards that require repayment after the student leaves VCU. Work study is a part-time employment usually on campus. All students are encouraged to apply for financial aid. For consideration for the maximum amount of financial eligibility, students must ensure that they apply for financial aid before the deadline of April 15. Prospective students may also call the Financial Aid Office at 804.VCU.MONY for additional information.
