Profile: Professor of Decision Sciences, teaches applied statistics at the graduate and undergraduate levels. His research publications have appeared in Journal of Quality Technology, Naval Research Logistics, IEEE Transactions on Reliability, Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, Operations Research, Water Resources Research, Journal of Hydrology, and Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, among others. He is the author of the book APPLIED PROBABILITY AND STATISTICAL METHODS, Little, Brown and Company, 1984, and the co-author of the books AN INTRODUCTION TO MODERN BUSINESS STATISTICS, Duxbury Press, Brooks/Cole Publishing Company, 1999, and MODERN BUSINESS STATISTICS, Duxbury Press, Wadsworth Publishing Company, 1995.
Education: Virginia Tech [BS in Mathematics 1963, MS (1967) and Ph.D.(1971) in Statistics]
Professional Experience: Research and consulting statistician for 12 years at National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Langley Research Center.
Teaching: Professor of Decision Sciences, teaches applied statistics at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
