Profile: Professor Davis uses laboratory methods to evaluate economic policy issues. Most recently, he has been evaluating tools used by antitrust authorities for detecting collusion, and for identifying problematic mergers. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation since 1989. Recent publications appear in Economic Theory, Economic Journal, The International Journal of Industrial Organization and The International Journal of Game Theory

Professional Experience: Economist, Federal Trade Commission (1984-1987); Assistant Professor, VCU (1987-1992); Associate Professor, VCU (1992-1996); Professor, VCU (1996- Present). Professor Davis has served as a visiting faculty member at the University of Virginia, Middlebury College and the University of Mississippi
