Profile: Associate Professor of Management, specializes in strategic and international management. He has published articles on the role of organizational culture in the strategic implementation process. Dr. Byles is currently investigating the relationship between strategy and human resource management practices. He is also doing research on differences in cognitive styles between managers in several countries. Dr. Byles is a member of the Academy of Management, the Association for Global Business (where he is currently a Vive President and Proceedings Editor) the Southern Management Association, and is a reviewer for the Journal of Managerial Issues. He has taught overseas and conducted training seminars in Jamaica and the United States.

Education: The University of West Indies (BSc,1975); University of Toledo (MBA, 1977); Kent State University (DBA, 1986).

Professional Experience: Distribution (Facey Commodity Company), Agro-Industry (Jamaica Broilers Ltd - Production Management).
