| Description: The School of Allied Health Professions, Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia Campus invites candidates for the position of Chair, Department of Occupational Therapy. The University is seeking a progressive occupational therapy educator and academic and administrative leader to continue to lead a strong, dynamic faculty in entry level and post professional graduate occupational therapy education and research. Reporting directly to the Dean of the School, the Chair will collaborate in promoting the mission of the School and the Department.The Chair serves as the Chief Academic Administrative Officer of the Department ensuring effective management, program planning, faculty development, research and scholarship, and development of relationships with alumni and the community. | |
| Qualifications: Qualified faculty will hold an earned doctoral degree in an appropriate discipline, a minimum of five years of faculty and clinical experience, preferably at an academic health center, a strong record of scholarship/research, teaching, service and administration; and be eligible for appointment to senior rank, associate or full professor. This is a 12 month tenure-track position. Salary, tenure, and rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
