Description:  Seeking Psychiatrist with experience in addictions (board certified/eligible in either addiction psychiatry or addiction medicine), and program management to serve as Assistant/Associate Division Chair. Rank is open and will depend on qualifications/experience.

The Addiction Psychiatry Division has close collaborations within the VCU Departments of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Neurology. In addition, there is a close working relationship between the Division and the Mental Health Service at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Hospital.

VCU Department of Psychiatry employs over 80 fulltime faculty and has well-funded research in genetics, imaging addictions, child and women?s mental health and psychopharmacology. VCU is a large urban university with robust health science campus and 750-bed university hospital. Richmond, the State Capital, has moderate climate and rich mix of history with modern facilities, excellent suburban housing, public/private schools.
Qualifications:  The successful candidate will have a minimum five years leadership, and a track record of excellence in clinical care, research, and teaching. This position is responsible for all clinical services including the addictions fellowship and the Health Practitioners Monitoring Program (HPMP). Reports to Division Chair of Addiction Medicine. Successful applicants will have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment, or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU. Academic experience preferred.
