Description: OpenOffice 3 is an open-source productivity suite offering word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database functionality for its customers. It`s easy to install, compatible with Microsoft Office, works on the Windows, Linux or Apple platforms, and best of all, it`s free. In this one hour seminar the functionality of OpenOffice 3 and its compatibility with the Microsoft Office suite will be reviewed.

Topics will include:
  • Downloading and installing the software
  • An explanation and demonstration of each of the following OpenOffice 3 tools:
    • Writer (word processing)
    • Calc (spreadsheets)
    • Impress (presentations)
    • Draw (drawing)
    • Base (database)
  • Installing language extensions
